North East Law Centre is supported by a small number of dedicated volunteers who allow our services to go much further. Our volunteers work across areas of law, providing specialist expertise and support.
Patrick Andrews
Patrick is a Solicitor & Higher Rights Advocate. Patrick was admitted as a Solicitor in England & Wales, the Republic of Ireland and the Northern Ireland jurisdiction and is also a former judge. With over 35 years' experience, Patrick has appeared as an advocate in the full range of courts in England & Wales and in courts in Europe. Patrick is currently working as a volunteer consultant solicitor with the North East Law Centre specialising in Benefit Law.
Grahame Anderson
Grahame is one of the country’s leading junior barristers specialising in employment law. A native of South Shields, he is based in London and Newcastle, practising from Littleton Chambers. He is a campaigner for workplace justice and founded the Newcastle Employment Litigants in Person Support Scheme in 2021. Grahame appears regularly in the Employment Tribunal, Employment Appeal Tribunal and Court of Appeal and has been involved in some of the leading authorities in the area.
