About Us
"Our model of legal support makes us stand out from the rest - we care about our clients’ situations and will help them as much as we can, through our free or affordable services."
Our Services
"One of the greatest challenges to accessing specialist legal advice is that people don’t always recognise that their problem has a legal resolution. Providing people with specialist legal advice quickly so that we can support them to resolve their problem remains a priority for us."

EU Settlement Scheme

North East Law Centre and other North East partners have been awarded a government grant to support vulnerable individuals to make an application to the EU Settlement Scheme. Our service is completely free and impartial.

Our EU Settlement Scheme Project

The service is led by our Immigration Solicitor Tristan, and our Immigration Paralegal Thea. The project is available to vulnerable individuals within one or more of the categories below:

  • Elderly people, disabled people and people with serious health conditions (e.g. physical or mental impairment, are socially excluded as a result of their circumstances);
  • Those who have experienced modern slavery and/or trafficking;
  • Those who have experienced domestic abuse (to include non-violent forms of abuse (emotional, psychological etc);
  • Those with no fixed abode (e.g. Gypsy, Roma and Traveller communities, rough sleepers);
  • Vulnerable children
  • Those with other vulnerabilities

We accept referrals from organisations working with vulnerable individuals
